Robotic Design Engineer

General Key Responsibilities (Applicable across all specializations):

• Lead the conceptual and detailed mechanical design of specific robotic components (upper limbs, hands, or body structure).
• Develop 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using industry-standard software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360).
• Conduct kinematic, dynamic, and structural analysis to optimize component performance, strength, and dexterity.
• Perform simulations (e.g., using ROS, Gazebo, MATLAB/Simscape, Adams) to validate designs, predict behavior, and identify potential issues before physical prototyping.
• Select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and components for optimal performance, weight, and cost.
• Oversee the prototyping and assembly of robotic components, working closely with manufacturing and external vendors.
