Rooftop Beekeeper in Urban Areas

Alvéole is looking for a Rooftop Beekeeper in Rouyn-Noranda to foster urban biodiversity through hands-on hive management. Flexible hours allow you to focus on bee health and community education.
This contractor role at Alvéole involves maintaining and enhancing honey-bee hives, harvesting honey, and interacting with the public through workshops. Beekeepers will travel to various client sites while maintaining a three-week service cycle to ensure the health of the colonies, emphasizing sustainability and local engagement throughout the growing season.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage honey-bee hives, performing routine tasks
• Install new equipment and maintain existing hives
• Harvest honey and arrange product distribution
