Safety Coordinator

Summary:

This position is responsible for planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of health, safety, and environmental programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees. The successful candidate will be a self-starting leader who enjoys the challenges of daily involvement with an operation and maintenance team. A safety coordinator leads safety-training for employees, designs effective methods of measuring safety standards in the workplace, and conducts safety inspections on a routine basis.

Safety is #1 at BTD: Our expectation is that every employee: 1) Follows safety policies, rules and safe work methods. 2) Promptly corrects or reports safety hazards or unsafe conditions. Promptly reports injuries for prompt diagnosis and treatment. 3) Makes regular suggestions for safety process improvements to support continuous improvement in safety.
