Summary This position is part of the Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security, Department of Energy. As a Safety Engineer, you will serve as a technical advisor and expert in safety engineering with responsibility for providing expertise in the areas of standards development. Responsibilities The Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security office is responsible for health, safety, environment, and security; providing corporate-level leadership and strategic vision to coordinate and integrate these vital programs. The Office of Worker Protection and Nuclear Safety establishes nuclear and facility safety requirements and expectations for the Department to ensure protection of public, workers and the environment from the hazards associated with nuclear operations.
