Safety Officer 3

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enforce compliance with DOLE OSH Standards and the approved Construction Safety and Health Program (CSHP).
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify and control hazards.
• Lead daily toolbox meetings and site-specific safety briefings.
• Monitor proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
• Investigate and report accidents, near-misses, and unsafe practices; implement corrective actions.
• Maintain updated safety records, inspection checklists, and incident logs.
• Facilitate site safety orientations and ongoing safety training for workers and subcontractors.
• Monitor high-risk construction activities (e.g., working at heights, excavation, lifting operations).
• Assist in emergency response planning and lead periodic emergency drills.
• Recommend safety improvements to reduce risks and improve overall site safety performance.
