Safety Officer

I. About the PositionThe Safety Officer (SO2) is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe and healthy working environment at the construction site. This includes conducting regular site inspections, ensuring compliance with local safety regulations (e.g., DOLE OSH Standards in the Philippines), and promoting a culture of safety among workers and contractors.

II. Responsibilities

• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety orientations for all site workers and new hires.
• Inspect the site regularly to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Enforce the implementation of approved Construction Health and Safety Programs (CHSP).
• Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure availability at all times.
