Satellite Flight Software (FSW) Systems Engineer

Role

As part of the System Engineering Department, the FDIR-FSW Engineer will be work with the Senior FDIR-FSW Systems Engineers, operations, systems, subsystem, and payload engineers to document and review system designs for FDIR. Tasks

The FDIR-FSW Engineer will perform and participate in the following tasks and activities, depending on the background and experience of the candidate. Document the fault detection actions of the platform and payload at the system and subsystem levels. Work with system, subsystem, payload and unit teams to review FMECAs and provide feedback on the detection, isolation, and recovery of failures modes. Provide input to the Operations team for Operations Procedures, Operations Manuals, and Satellite test procedures to ensure that the Operations documents and FDIR strategy are aligned.
