Scala Developer

Scala backend software engineers are required by a well known IGaming software house company based in Malta.

The successful Scala engineer will be joining a small, close knit Agile extremely talented engineers working on creating a set of RESTful APIs on an open source (Scala/Akka, Java 11, PostgreSQL) stack.

The role is fully remote and is paying up to €80000 + benefits

The successful candidate should have the following qualities:

• 4+ years experience in Scala, Doobie / Catz
• Is passionate about coding and loves to learn and share new concepts and techniques.
• Can work in a flat organisation where ideas (rather than people) ‘win’ at the end of the day.
• Can write functional code and understands the benefits of immutability. A sea of immutability with islands of mutability.
