School Nurse

Serve as the coordinator of the health services program and provide nursing care. School nursing practice requires the combination of professional clinical nursing practice with a specialized component that promotes the health, well‑being, academic achievement, and success of the school‑age student. The school nurse will also protect and promote the optimal health of the staff.

Reports to: Assistant Superintendent and Building Principal

Pay: According to the Non-Exempt pay scale

Days: 187

Qualifications

• Certified in CPR or BLS (or will obtain in the first 12 months of hire)
• Professional liability insurance throughout employment
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
• 3 years of direct patient care clinical experience
