Seasonal Biologist / Avian Bird Sweeper

Join our team as a Biologist/Avian Bird Sweeper for a seasonal, part-time role in Manitoba from June to September 2026. Utilize your expertise in bird surveys and fieldwork to make an impact.
This temporary position requires planning and implementing breeding bird and nest surveys across Manitoba. You will serve as a contractor liaison and prepare detailed summaries in letter reports. Teamwork is essential as you complete fieldwork in various disciplines when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and conduct breeding bird and nest surveys
• Act as a liaison between contractors and project teams
• Prepare results summaries in letter format
• Perform fieldwork across diverse disciplines
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment
Requirements:
• Degree in biology or Avian Bird Sweeper certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with an abstract
• Ability to work independently in remote areas
