**Job Description:**

Ensures the safety of the Highland Hospital buildings and grounds to prevent and detect any security or safety issues.

1. Patrols Hospital buildings and grounds to prevent and detect fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and safety hazards.

2. Observes, investigates, and reports violations of law or hospital policies or procedures which disrupt the safety, security, and orderly operation of the hospital. May take action to see that serious violations are ceased. May be required to pursue and/or detain individuals or take temporary custody of property in accordance with established regulations. May be required to escort unauthorized personnel from restricted areas of the hospital or off the grounds entirely.
