Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Braga. This role will be responsible for accounting and administrative activities across both Portugal and the United Kingdom , requiring strong knowledge of Portuguese accounting and tax regulations, as well as the ability to work in an international environment. The position starts with a 9-month contract, with the opportunity to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities for Portugal and the UK
• Ensure compliance with SNC and support UK accounting requirements (UK GAAP)
• Perform monthly and annual closings
• Prepare and review tax and statutory filings and ensure compliance with Portuguese (VAT, IES/DA, Modelo 22, SAF-T PT) and UK tax obligations
• Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors in PT and the UK
