Senior Accountant Job Description

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant supports the integrity of financial reporting by preparing journal entries, completing detailed account reconciliations, and contributing to the month-end close process. This role conducts variance analysis, investigates discrepancies, and ensures balances are properly supported in accordance with GAAP and internal controls. The Senior Accountant collaborates with the accounting team to support audits and ongoing reporting requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, reclassifications, and period-end adjustments
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and ensure all accounts are properly supported and reviewed
• Use advanced Excel functionality (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas) to analyze large data sets and support reconciliations
