Senior Accountant

Location: Swellendam, Western Cape

A well-established accounting practice in Swellendam is seeking a skilled and hands-on Senior Accountant to manage a diverse client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review annual financial statements and monthly management accounts
• Oversee bookkeeping and general ledger accuracy
• Manage full SARS compliance (VAT, PAYE, provisional tax and income tax)
• Liaise with SARS on audits and verifications
• Provide financial advisory and tax-planning support to clients
• Supervise and mentor junior staff

Requirements

• SAIPA / SAICA / AGA(SA) registered (or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years' post-articles experience in an accounting practice
• Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and South African tax legislation
• Experience with Sage, Xero, Draftworx and MS Excel
