Senior Analyst Tester | Kaiwhakamātau Kaitātari Matua – Tātari

Role

This is a fixed‑term position based in Christchurch. Reporting to the Unit Manager – Statistical Infrastructure (SI), the Senior Analyst – Tester provides dedicated testing expertise across the enterprise platforms supported by SI, including EPIC, MEP, Pentaho, SAS, R and Python. The role focuses on end‑to‑end testing for social and business survey data workflows, automating processes where possible and contributing to the development and implementation of an enterprise testing approach.

Responsibilities

• Creation of end‑to‑end automation tests.
• Writing and implementing test plans and test cases to validate code.
• Leading the implementation of the Enterprise Automated Test Framework.
• Introducing monitoring of tests.
• Championing best practice and use of enterprise testing tools and systems across Stats NZ’s statistical landscape (Azure DevOps, BDD, Python, GitLab).
