About Us

MATHESON WHITELEY is an RIBA chartered architecture and design studio founded by Donald Matheson and Jason Whiteley. The practice delivers thoughtful public and private spaces for arts and culture. We have a track record helping arts organisations to connect with new audiences and communities by making better use of their existing buildings. This work is complemented by a growing portfolio of private houses. The studio’s output has been recognised for its common-sense approach to construction, continuity with the past, and sense of space.

Role

We are looking for a Senior Architect (Part 3) with minimum 5 years post-qualification experience to lead design and technical packages across RIBA Stages 2–5, with a particular focus on construction-stage delivery, buildability, and site coordination.
