Duties & Responsibilities

What you'll do:

As a Senior Associate Accountant IFRS 16 based in Cape Town, you will be entrusted with managing the end-to-end process of lease accounting under IFRS 16.

• Manage all aspects of IFRS 16 lease accounting by ensuring accurate recognition, measurement, and disclosure of leases in accordance with relevant standards.
• Maintain detailed lease registers and supporting schedules for right-of-use assets and lease liabilities, ensuring data integrity at all times.
• Assess new leases as well as modifications, re-measurements, and terminations under IFRS 16 requirements to guarantee compliance and transparency.
• Anticipate future rent rates, lease renewals, and related assumptions through robust financial modelling techniques.
