Damen Naval is looking for an experienced (Senior) Automation Engineer to join long-term, high-end naval defence projects. This role sits at the heart of complex ship automation — from concept and design to testing, commissioning and final delivery of state-of-the-art naval vessels.

🔧 Your role

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will:

• Design and develop automation concepts for complex ship systems (PLC / SCADA)
• Prepare functional descriptions, specifications and engineering documentation
• Define and execute test & validation plans (FAT, HAT, SAT, simulations)
• Work in a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) environment following the V-model
• Review and integrate vendor & subcontractor designs
