Senior Backend Engineer - Founding Team

Overview

Our client is an early-stage brokerage startup building their own proprietary trading platform. Having validated initial product direction, they are now looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their founding team and take ownership of the backend systems powering the platform.

This is a zero-to-one role suited for someone who is hands‑on, proactive, and excited to build and scale systems from the ground up. The right candidate will work closely with founders and stakeholders, shape technical decisions, and play a key role in building the company’s technical foundation, with the potential to grow into a CTO role over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and PostgreSQL

• Architect and maintain reliable, secure, and high-performance backend systems
