Senior Buyer

The Senior Buyer will own a defined set of commodities and suppliers for production and project builds. Execute day-to-day buying, assure on-time delivery, and drive year-over-year cost improvement while maintaining data accuracy in the ERP and supplier compliance with terms.

Key Responsibilities

• Place and manage purchase orders for direct and indirect materials; confirm acknowledgments, ship dates, and delivery.
• Maintain accurate item, vendor, and pricing data in ERP; resolve PO, receipt, and invoice mismatches with AP.
• Execute sourcing events for spot buys and competitive quotes; analyze total landed cost and award per policy.
• Track supplier performance for OTIF, quality, and responsiveness; run weekly supplier huddles and corrective actions.
• Manage inventory targets for assigned parts; reduce excess and slow-moving stock; propose MOQ and lead time changes.
