Senior Category Manager – Chemicals

Airswift is seeking a Senior Category Manager – Chemicals to work with one of our O&G clients in Calgary, AB on a initial 6‑month contract with a strong potential for permanent hire based on performance.

The role is to support strategic sourcing, specifically focused on management of Commodity and Specialty Chemicals.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, applying forward-looking thinking and commercial acumen to optimize contract outcomes and mitigate risk.
• Lead the negotiation and lifecycle management of contracts, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives, regulatory requirements, and evolving market conditions.
• Apply in-depth market research and industry analysis to evaluate supplier capabilities, assess pricing structures, and identify opportunities within key commodity portfolios, particularly within chemicals and related categories. <...
