Senior Civil Design Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join the Mining Infrastructure Department of a top consulting firm's Johannesburg office.
You will be responsible for managing civil design mine infrastructure projects. This includes storm water management infrastructure (dams, canals), bulk earthworks (terraces and platforms), roads (gravel, mine haul roads, dragline walkways), mine waste disposal facilities, tailings facilities and more.
Responsibilities include managing the design team, interfacing with the client, checking and approving deliverables, and compiling design reports, project study inputs, bill of quantities, project specifications, etc.
Desired Experience & Qualification
BEng. BSc. Eng. Civil Engineering or higher
7 or more years relevant experience
Good understanding and knowledge of soil mechanics
Experience in the designing of mining related infrastructure
Experience in Civil 3 D
