Senior Component Engineer

PCI Private Limited is looking for an experienced Senior Component Engineer to join our Supply Base Management team. This position is a 1 year contract role, and will be placed under an Employment Agency.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to contribute to product cost savings through identifying opportunities including alternates for cost savings including during the bid stage, build value engineering project pipeline and drive multiple VAVE projects in a timely manner to support business goal target.
• Handle component changes due to obsolescence or supply shortages. Assist with location of component sources vendors and manufacturers, locate alternate sources, find components substitutions along with qualification strategy.
• Monitor, identify and resolve all lifecycle issues and assist various teams to identify appropriate resources and substitutes for components.
