Job Purpose

A Senior Data Steward in the Data Governance team is responsible for managing and transforming data within the sector, implementing data governance best practices related to data quality and lineage, and supporting strategic decision‑making and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Identify and document sector data (criticality, sensitivity, definitions) in the bank’s data catalogue.
• Drive data quality improvement by identifying anomalies, assessing impacts, and escalating risk.
• Ensure end‑to‑end data traceability (lineage, flows, transformations) and support modelling for data exposure and consumption.
• Collaborate with other sector data stewards to resolve cross‑sector issues and harmonise governance practices.
