Senior Database Engineer

The Work You'll Do:

At Sovos , we manage and scale the database infrastructure that powers tax compliance for more than 100,000 customers across 100+ countries. As a Senior Database Engineer , you'll be a hands‑on technical leader responsible for the performance, security, and availability of our enterprise database environments — keeping mission‑critical SaaS applications running at their best.

More specifically, you will:

• Serve as a subject matter expert for critical database technologies, leading resolution of complex incidents and performance issues across Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Snowflake, Postgres, and MySQL environments
• Proactively monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning solutions to optimize query response times and system throughput
