Job Description
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 database support for Oracle and other databases (MSSQL/MySQL/Postgres/MongoDB) in on-prem and cloud environments.
- Support database administration, performance tuning, security hardening, backup, recovery, and Data Guard configuration.
- Investigate and resolve incidents, ensuring permanent solutions.
- Manage database changes through the change request process and provide status updates.
- Monitor database performance and availability; implement improvements when needed.
- Perform regular security patching, including RAC and clustered databases.
- Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery (DR) to ensure business continuity.
- Manage database space (tablespaces, ASM, file systems) and perform periodic optimization.
- Manage user access (create, modify, delete accounts) following security guidelines.
- Maintain database documentation (assets, SOPs, etc.).
