Senior Effects Technical Director Hybrid

ILM is inviting candidates with strong visual effects backgrounds to express their interest in a Senior Effects TD role. This hybrid position involves 2-3 onsite days per week, utilizing Houdini for generating realistic effects and stylized setups for feature animation. Successful candidates will also contribute to lighting, rendering, and compositing, along with mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and create FX animation and simulations
• Light complex elements and communicate with supervision
• Provide time estimates for shot work
• Collaborate with other departments for element handoffs
