Senior Engineer Mechanical (Asset Management)

This position is responsible for providing engineering and technical support to maintenance functions for mechanical process of belt conveyor system, port and yard machines and other operational equipment maintenance to guarantee their availability and reliability in line with production needs by practicing Vale’s normative standards and VPS (Vale Production System) guidelines.

Responsibilities

• 3.1 Responsible for analysis of critical failures of port equipment, aiming to identify the root cause and propose long term action to avoid the recurrence of those failures.
• 3.2 Provide technical support to the maintenance team, based on Vale’s normative standards, international and engineering best practices.
• 3.3 Develop engineering calculations and maintenance strategies using appropriate software to support technical decisions.
