Senior Environmental Scientist

Job Description

A medium sized Consulting company with international offices is looking to hire a Senior Environmental Scientist.

Minimum requirements:

•A degree in Environmental Science/ Management

• A Project Management certification would be advantageous.

• 5-8 years in conducting impact assessments specifically within the mining industry.

• 5-8 years in environmental legal auditing (NEMA, NEMWA, National Water Act and MPRDA)

• Knowledge of Applicable Environmental and Mining legislation.

• Knowledge of IFC and World bank principles would be preferable.

• Must be in possession of a valid passport and drivers’ license.

• Willing to travel throughout Africa and elsewhere, as the need arises.
