JOB PURPOSE : The Senior Hospitalist Psychiatrist oversees Psychiatry functions in partnership with inpatient psychiatrists, clinical leadership, and El Rio Psychiatry Residency program providing and improving care for hospitalized patients cared for by El Rio psychiatrists. The Senior Hospital Psychiatrist will participate in coverage of all our hospital-based psychiatric services, to ensure optimal functionality and availability. They will serve as core faculty for the Psychiatry residency, engaging in clinical teaching, didactic teaching, scholarly activities, and other activities of the residency that may include coverage of child and adolescent psychiatric services should the need arise.
