About the role

We're seeking a passionate environmental professional to lead programs and partnerships that protect and enhance Wyndham's natural environment. In this role, you'll drive sustainable land management initiatives, strengthen community engagement, and help deliver key environmental strategies across rural landscapes.

Working closely with landholders, government agencies, and internal stakeholders, you'll play a hands-on role in safeguarding significant ecological sites and advancing Council's environmental objectives.

What your day will look like

  • Delivering actions from the City Forest and Habitat Strategy across rural environments.
  • Managing the Land Protection Grant Scheme, including landholder liaison and contractor supervision.
  • Building strong partnerships with government agencies to protect key ecological areas, including the Western Grassland Reserve.
