PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The position aims to address undergraduate teaching to BPharm students in the subject of Pharmacy Practice in the School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health Sciences. It includes supervision of both undergraduate and postgraduate students (i.e., MPharm in Pharmacy Practice) across the Faculty’s blended training platform, while strengthening and expanding research in the subject group and the research entity Medicine Usage in South Africa (MUSA).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Undergraduate Teaching and Learning (A7)/(A8): Teaching and learning in the undergraduate BPharm programme (subject group: Pharmacy Practice) and be compliant with the South African Pharmacy Council requirements. Co-ordination of a Pharmacy Practice module, with a specific focus on communication for pharmacists, which include study guide development and maintenance, lecturing, presentation of practical sessions, assessment (setting of papers, marking of scripts...
