Senior Legal Academic - Dean of Law

Wilfrid Laurier University is seeking a Dean of Law to spearhead the creation of a new JD program in Brantford, Ontario. This part-time position is key to shaping future legal education.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the development of the new law school at Wilfrid Laurier University. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in legal academia and a commitment to community-focused education. You will collaborate with regulatory bodies and engage with Indigenous and legal communities to ensure the program meets current justice needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Shape the direction of the JD program and Faculty of Law
• Engage with the Federation of Law Societies and the Law Society of Ontario
• Establish partnerships with legal and Indigenous stakeholders
• Drive government relations and fundraising strategies
