Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Castle Donington - Hybrid

Contract: Outside IR35
Type: Full-Time

The Role
This is an outside IR25 assignment expected to last between 6 - 12 months with the successful contractor involved in the design of a range of fabrications and components used in turbomachinery applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using Siemens NX.
Generate engineering drawings
Perform engineering design calculations eg Perform tolerance stack-up analysis , bolted joint.
Preparation of engineering design reports
Engage with suppliers and lead design for manufacturing activities
Ensure designs meet industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Required qualifications and experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Experience designing castings, machined parts and fabrications.
Experience using BS8888 and/or ASME Y14.5
