About this opportunity

As a member of a dynamic development team, the Senior Mechanical Designer will be responsible for design, testing and delivery to manufacturing of carrier‑grade mechanical hardware designs used for optical line systems capable of 400Gbps and beyond.

What You’ll Do

• Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Strive for continuous improvement in our processes and innovation in the designs while always looking to minimize cost.
• Work closely with hardware designers, product line managers, and system architects to deliver high-quality designs using thermal simulation to reduce risk where applicable.
• Own all aspects of mechanical design, including three-dimensional physical design, modeling, specification, verification, and implementation.
