Overview

Senior Mechanical Engineer – Jackson Hogg is delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading EPC engineering business in Cramlington. The business specialises in the design, engineering, and delivery of turbine systems and associated mechanical infrastructure for onshore energy and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of turbine air intake and exhaust systems to meet industry standards, including BS EN 21789.
• Perform calculations and simulations using Mathcad for material thickness, structural integrity, and thermal performance.
• Create and review 2D/3D CAD models using Inventor and produce detailed drawings.
• Review vendor documentation, technical datasheets, and provide guidance to ensure project compliance.
• Support on-site inspections and liaise with construction teams.
• Contribute to FEED studies, design reviews, and project reporting.
