Senior Medical Officer - Auckland Region

The Senior Medical Officer will work across Mt Eden Correctional Facility Auckland Prison, with allocated non-clinical time for quality assurance activity. This part-time role (20 hours per week) is split between:
* 16 hours of frontline clinical work
* 4 hours of Quality Assurance non-clinical
* There will be come on call required to support after hours till 10pm
Ara Poutama's focus is to provide excellent prison-based health care, achieve equity for Māori and Māori health gain, alongside quality improvement and assurance of the primary care service.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Ara Poutama Aotearoa in a pivotal role. If successful, you will be joining high-performing Health Services teams who are committed to developing and embedding a Kaupapa Māori-based model of care into the heart of Health Services.
