Senior Nursing Aide

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Measure seniors' vital signs, review records.
• Identify changes in seniors' physical well-being, behaviours, report to senior care staff or supervisor and caregiver, if necessary. Record all communication notes, submit incident reports where required
• Assist seniors in their medication
• Monitor seniors' care plans and provide inputs
• Provide 1st line of support to medical emergencies/accidents/wound care. Use of PPE if required
• Assist seniors with ADL activities and hygiene care e.g. mobility, transfers, toileting, feeding, hydration, fall prevention measures.
• Provide training to team in areas such as transfers, toileting, basic medical assistance

Support team in:

• Monitoring of seniors' physical and mental health and well-being:
• Engaging seniors through planning and leading of exercises and activities
• Serving meals and tea breaks.
