Senior Planning Officer

You will be involved in a diverse range of strategic planning work and will undertake a range of responsibilities necessary for the effective operation of Planning and Development for the Shire. Your responsibilities will include:

• Administering the Shire’s Local Planning Scheme and land use control in accordance with Council delegations, planning policies and administrative procedures;

• Assessing and reporting on development applications, including significant applications, Development Assessment Panel applications and application reviews at the State Administrative Tribunal;

• Assessing proposals for strata title subdivision, requests for preliminary determination and requests for certification of strata plans;

• Preparing recommendations and reports to Council and external stakeholders on development, subdivision and rezoning proposals;
