Overview

Senior Process Engineer. The Role: We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead the design, optimisation, and scale-up of processes across R&D, pilot, and demonstration plants. This role sits between Process and Principal Process Engineers, combining hands-on technical delivery with mentoring and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design activities, including modelling, PFDs, P&IDs, and mass/energy balances
• Develop and optimise catalytic conversion and separation processes
• Translate lab and pilot data into scalable, commercially robust designs
• Support technology scale-up from lab to demonstration scale
• Lead and participate in HAZID/HAZOP and ensure strong process safety standards
• Provide process input to techno-economic assessments and proposals
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a strong safety and performance culture
