Senior production manager (vineyard)

Babylonstoren has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Production Manager with a passion for vineyards and farming!.
Requirements: A relevant qualification in viticulture
At least six years’ experience in a similar role
Sound working knowledge of vineyard production
Strong organisational, time management and supervisory skills
Ability to work and perform under pressure Suitably qualified applicants from designated groups will be given priority
Responsibilities: Manage the Production Manager and Senior Supervisor within the vineyard division
Oversee the team’s daily activities
Manage the irrigation, pest control and weed control schedules
Facilitate communication between the farm and cellar teams
Manage all vineyard audits (SAWIS & WIETA)
Prepare and manage the budget
Conduct detailed weekly planning of activities and labour requirements
