About the role

You will join a close-knit team of planners in a district that provides an opportunity to develop your planning skills in unique and challenging areas. With pockets of heritage, outstanding natural features and landscapes, new growth areas, coastal development, and all types of natural hazards.

As a Senior Planner this role undertakes assessment of the more complex resource consent applications and related management of environmental planning. You will provide mentoring to colleagues and support to the Development Planning Team Leader. The role will also provide reports and recommendations to Council committees and provide advice to support Council's strategic, regulatory and operations functions.
