Senior Scientific Coordinator (Rare Anemias Disorders Research Line)

The University Hospital Vall d'Hebron is highly specialised in rare diseases at regional, national, and international levels, with its incorporation as a full member of 20 of the 24 European Reference Networks (ERNs). The scientific direction of ERN-EuroBloodNet (www.eurobloodnet.eu), the ERN dedicated to Rare Haematological Diseases (RHD), is led by Dr Mañú Pereira, Head of the Rare Anemia Disorders Research Laboratory within the Cancer y Enfermedades Hematológicas Infantiles group.

Within ERN-EuroBloodNet, and in alignment with its strategic objectives, the team leads several European-level initiatives in rare haematological diseases and actively contributes to ERDERA (European Rare Disease Research Alliance), the Horison Europe partnership aiming to align and strengthen rare disease research across Europe.
