Position Overview

Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse (SACT Outpatients)

Fixed‑term secondment for 9 months (25/05/2026 to 28/02/2027) to cover maternity leave.

Role Details

• Service covers units at Royal Berkshire Hospital, Bracknell Healthspace, and West Berkshire Community Hospital, Thatcham.
• Working days: Monday‑Friday, 08:30‑18:30.
• Informal visits are highly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Administer SACT treatment to patients.
• Perform venepuncture and cannulation, and manage CVADs.
• Lead services with a caring, patient‑centered approach.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Recent history of SACT administration.
• Accomplished accredited SACT course / UKONs Passport or equivalent.
• Proficient in venepuncture, cannulation and CVAD management.
• Band 6 experience preferred.
