Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer (Linux Focus)
Travel: Limited, but may be required both locally and internationally.
Location: Primarily remote but must be within reasonable driving distance from our Durban office for occasional onsite work and monthly onsite team meetings.
On Call: This position requires after-hours standby coverage on a rotational basis.
Overview
We are looking for an experienced, motivated systems engineer with excellent technical skills to join the infrastructure team at our growing organization to support enterprise line-of-business systems for our clients and ourselves. The position is primarily Linux-focused, but would involve other related aspects such as virtualization, cloud, storage, backups, application and hardware support.
You will play a key role in ensuring system stability, security, and performance across on-prem and cloud environments, while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to strategic infrastructure decisions.
