Senior Technician

Overview

The purpose of this role is to lead the design, installation, support, and continuous improvement of Centralised Blasting Systems in underground mining operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant system performance through technical expertise, training, audits, and customer engagement.

Qualifications

Required:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Diploma (Electrical/Electronic Engineering) and Trade Test

Advantageous:

• Certificate in CENTRALISED BLASTING SYSTEM installations
• Training qualification
• Underground blasting certificate
• Red seal (electrician)

Experience

• 10 years of demonstrated experience in an underground operational / explosives mining environment
• 3 years demonstrated experience in Underground blasting systems (CENTRALISED BLASTING SYSTEM)
• 3 years on-the-job electrical installations
