Senior Underwriter, Retakaful

We are looking for a motivated and technically proficient Underwriting professional to join our Life & Health team in Kuala Lumpur. This role reports to the Head of Underwriting.
You will play a key role in assessing and managing risks, fostering, and deepening client relationships, supporting product initiatives, and contributing to Munich Re's standing reputation as a global leader in reinsurance underwriting excellence.
Your Role
Evaluate life, disability, and living benefit risks—including medically substandard and financially complex cases—aligned with agreed service standards, underwriting philosophy, and Group guidelines.
Provide clear, well-reasoned underwriting decisions within assigned approval limits, ensuring case turnaround times meet internal quality standards.
