You should blend storytelling skills, pacing expertise, and a good understanding of YouTube best practices to retain watch time and boost viewer retention.
Key Responsibilities
Edit long-form videos (documentaries, explainers, interviews, vlogs, podcasts) while maintaining high audience retention.
Collaborate with creators to develop video structure, narrative flow, and creative hooks.
Implement retention-boosting techniques (cutting dead air, adding B-roll, dynamic pacing, on-screen text/graphics).
Ensure high production quality: color grading, sound mixing, seamless transitions.
