Senior VTL & Milling Machinist for Heavy Marine Parts

• Machinist required with experience in Vertical Lathe Machine (VTL) and Milling Machine operations
• Work involves machining of heavy components for marine, dredging, and industrial equipment
• Preference for candidates with background in drydocks, oil & gas, dredging, or marine industry

Responsibilities

• Operate Vertical Lathe Machine (VTL) for turning, facing, and boring operations
• Perform machining using milling tool post on the VTL
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
• Machine components as per required dimensions and specifications
• Use precision measuring tools:
  • Vernier caliper
  • Micrometer (inside/outside)
  • Dial indicator
  • Bore gauge
  • Height gauge
• Conduct in-process and final inspection...
