Sessional Instructor, Access to Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Position Summary

Applicants are invited from qualified individuals to instruct in the Access to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at North Island College. The BSN program is offered in partnership with Vancouver Island University.

The sessional instructional assignment, up to 100%, involves teaching the theory course NUR 405: Professional Practice V – Leadership in Nursing to a cohort of Access to BSN students via a face-to-face delivery method at the Comox Valley campus.

The successful candidate will implement creative strategies in the preparation and delivery of theory activities; use initiative in providing documentation and follow-up with regard to student concerns and problem resolution; and, bring facilitation skills to management of conflict. The schedule for this assignment will be flexible to meet the needs of the program.
